Rejected petition Give all BTEC students their predicted grades.

I want the parliament to view BTEC the same way that they’re viewing A-levels and GCSE.
Having done GCSE a lot of people can all agree that it’s almost pointless as long as you achieve a good grade in Maths English and science all the other subjects were pretty much useless so giving GCSE.

More details

Give all BTEC students their predicted grades as BTEC student are affected by this pandemic as much as A-level students and it doesn’t make sense to give one their predicted grade but not the other. I understand that A-level students needs to take exam and so on which you can argue is a lot harder than BTEC but I can assure you BTEC students work just as hard we have more Units to work and we don’t always have the best teachers in essence as a BTEC student we feel neglected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

Decisions about exams are a matter for exam boards and individual schools, not the UK Government or Parliament. You can read the decision made by exam boards on what will happen to exams here:

If you want the Government to review the decision to use previous data to calculate exam grades, you may wish to sign this petition:

As a result of the large numbers of petitions people have tried to start on this issue, and following a large number of questions it received from petitioners about exams, the Petitions Committee asked the Government about the impact of coronavirus on schools and exams.
