Rejected petition Ensure that all relevant NHS front line emergency staff have adequate PPE

There is not enough emergency Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the UK to protect all relevant NHS staff during the Covid-19 outbreak. Staff are therefore becoming ill with the virus. Supplies should urgently be obtained, if necessary from other EU countries.

Hospital staff are the first line of defence against the Covid-19 outbreak. If they succumb because of lack of PPE, there will be fewer and fewer people at every level of expertise to fight the outbreak and hospitals will be overwhelmed even more quickly.
