Important:

This petition was submitted during the 2019-2024 parliament

Rejected petition Full train and tube service to reduce packed key worker trains

All trains and tube lines to operate at normal service levels

More details

The packed trains due to the reduced service caused by COVID-19 is counterproductive as it increases the chance of infection. Normal services should be resumed to allow people to distance themselves appropriately.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

The Government is not responsible for tube services, which are managed by Transport for London. Some other local rail services are also a matter for local governments, and not the Government or Parliament.

You could start a new petition calling on the Government to require rail operators providing services contracted by the Government to provide full service levels.
