Rejected petition Keep Vape Shops open during the lockdown period!

We want all vape shops to remain open whilst we are under lockdown as it is a necessity for vapers and smokers. Many people depend on this safer alternative to smoking tobacco.

Vaping is an alternative to smoking and as such should be kept open as tobacco products are still widely available through supermarkets. However with vaping being a safer alternative, I believe it should be made available to the general public.

Research has show that smoking is the single greatest cause of preventable illness and premature death in the UK. Smoking kills over 120,000 people in the UK a year. On the other hand the NHS has estimated that vaping is 95% less harmful!
