Rejected petition Change working practises for ambulance staff so that they wear PPE for all jobs
Change working practises for ambulance staff so that they wear PPE for all jobs not just those where the patient discloses respiratory issues or corona symptoms.
More details
Crews are being asked to go and treat patients without PPE unless they disclose that they have a respiratory condition. My husband ( and he is not alone) has already visited one patient who didnt disclose this when calling for an ambulance and as such they went in unprepared and then discovered the patient had corona symptoms.
People can show no symptoms for 10 days so ppe should be worn for every patient as these staff could unwillingly infect other patients and families.
