In a civilised society we need to feel safe to walk the streets and to protect our vulnerable members of our community.
If you don't feel safe you don't go out, it's as simple as that.
Quality of life is important to the community of North Somerset. When the lights are out we ALL feel vulnerable.
We agree with reducing the carbon footprint and we agree with saving money but surely there must be other ways to preserve our quality of life?
We believe the crime rate will soar, increase fear and impact catastrophically on the businesses of North Somerset, which are already struggling to survive.
Therefore to keep us all safe KEEP THE LIGHTS ON!
