Rejected petition Sinking Carbon
More details
Reforest Plan - Why This Is Important
Gradual tree "back planting" of uplands and field perimeters will enhance oxygen quality, increase the world's carbon sink, provide shelter for domestic animals increase habitat for indigenous species and reduce the need for soil enriching chemical fertilizers.
Lack of carbon sink is the "lynch pin" to Global Warming and protection of species issues. Governments could change laws regarding use of land by building in "protected zone" covenants applicable to all agricultural and industrial use. Such environmental laws could be imposed on existing land users by way of initial grant funding to initiate and encourage replanting. For example, a 20 yard swathe of woodland around agricultural perimeters would make a difference on a global scale.
New conveyances could include the new environmental laws as mandatory legislation
