We the undersigned believe that airbrushed images in the media and advertising have a distorting and negative effect on body image. Cases of eating disorders and body-dysmorphia are becoming more commonplace, requiring increasing resources from the social services. To encourage a more realistic standard of body image, all airbrushed pictures must be clearly labelled as being so.
