Rejected petition Postponing BTECS / cancelling 1-2 units

I want the government to consider postponing BTECS because students won't recieve support needed from teachers and some student don't have have have software needed to complete assigned task and some students might not have computers to laptops to do work on.

More details

However I also realised that postponing BTECS will waste students time as some students might want to go university straight after college or sixth form, so i thought of an alternative for such as cancelling 1-2 units for BTECS as we won't have the ability to reach our academic maximum with less time then previous students and same work load. This will allow BTEC students progress in many ways. Many BTEC students around the country are confused on what is happening with BTECS.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

Decisions about exams are a matter for exam boards and individual schools, not the UK Government or Parliament. You can read the Government's announcement about what will happen to exams here: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/further-details-on-exams-and-grades-announced

Ofqual has stated that it is working with awarding organisations to finalise a list of qualifications that we will advise the Secretary of State should be in scope for learners to receive a calculated result, and this will include many BTEC Nationals: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/awarding-vocational-and-technical-qualifications-this-summer
