Closed Transfer Govt funding of CBT/GET for ME to transferred to Bio-medical methodsrers

The ME Association recently undertook a wide scale survey that highlighted serious problems with CBT & GET therapies The largest-ever survey of ME patient opinion carried out by The ME Association last year found that only 26% were helped by CBT - while 56% reported that GET made them feel worse.”

The Belgium health services have closed their CBT/GET centres as they have been poven not to be effective at all.

A number of UK psychiatric ME/CFS hospital units have closed or in the process of closing, probably due to the above statistics.

We the UK ME community call upon the the Government to phase out Govt funding of CBT/GET and other psychiatric treatment for ME sufferers and transfer the same funding to Bio-medical research and treatment over the term of this parliament".
