Rejected petition Reserve ALL honours in the new year's honours list solely for frontline workers
Parliament to reserve the entire new year's honours list awards exclusively for frontline workers such as nurses, supermarket staff, truckers and volunteer drivers and the other unsung heroes who have risked their own health for the public good rather than civil servants political appointees etc
More details
the nurse supermarket cashier, binman, trucker, and others risked their health and in some cases lost their lives in the public's hour of need they deserve the highest recognition of their service to the community. Civil servants and govt advisors took at most very little risk comparatively. The public's gratitude should be shown to these often poorly paid and unsung heroes
