Important:

Rejected petition All supermarket key workers to be issued with personal protection (PPE).

The Government should make it an absolute priority to arrange for all supermarket, grocery & convenience store key workers to be issued with Personal Protection Equipment (gloves, N95/FFP3 masks). Or at the least, instruct operational food stores to provide this equipment to their staff immediately.

More details

Supermarket workers across all companies, small and large business face unprecedented risk of catching Covid19.

Although the volume of customers entering stores is now being controlled, thousands of potentially infected individuals risk transmitting Covid19 to those stated as "key workers" by the Government.

The Government should seek to implement better safety measures to protect a critical workforce that is working extremely hard to feed the Nation.
