Allow Qualified Coach Drivers (Cat D) to operate HGV Class 2 Vehicles to assist the national effort in response to COVID 19. Right now, thousands of drivers are furloughed due to the collapse in the industry.

Qualified Coach Drivers, already experienced in operating large vehicles of comparable size and weight would be able to assist the now hugely overstretched transport sector before supply lines are compromised through workforce sickness, absence or growing demand. We hear in the news about NHS Frontline Staff awaiting supplies, not because of production, but because of logistics. Flood the sector with support and get help to those that need it faster and more reliably.
