Rejected petition Formal recognition for NHS frontline COVID19 workers

After listening to the Queen's COVID19 speech on Sunday the 5th April, the comparisons to our historical military campaigns were obvious.

A medal should be cast for all front line key worker staff to recognise their efforts in the face of adversity, going above and beyond the call of duty.

Whilst a number of people will be recognised with honours ALL frontline key workers need to be recognised. With scenes akin to war hospitals, and doctors, nurses and all staff clearly suffering with physical and mental exhaustion on a daily if not hourly basis, we as a nation need to say thank you to each and every one of them.

Why was this petition rejected?

There’s already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
