Rejected petition Put forward the NHS for the George Cross

In light of their extraordinary bravery and dedication to our society during the Covid-19 outbreak, I would like parliament to ask the queen to grant the NHS the George Cross.

The George Cross - the second highest award of the United Kingdom honours system - is awarded "for acts of the greatest heroism or for most conspicuous courage in circumstance of extreme danger". It may be awarded person/s of any military rank in any service and to civilians including police, emergency services and merchant seamen and was awarded to the colony of Malta during WWII.
