Rejected petition No to plans to hive off road maintenance to the Private Sector

I wish the government to drop plans to privatise road maintenace and road building as this will just be the thin edge of the wedge to introduce more charges for motorists who are already overburdened with escalating costs in fuel, insurance and vehicle excise duty.
If the money that was collected through these taxes were to be spent on the roads, we could have the best road network in the world.
