Rejected petition KONY 2012
More details
Who is Joseph Kony?
In response to the widely publicised 'Kony 2012' campaign - created by the charity and internet awareness group 'Invisible Children' - The UK government should provide a response to the groundswell of public support for the campaign and respond to the public awareness of the war and war crimes being committed in several countries in Central Africa.
The 'Kone 2012' campaign calls for a commitment from the Western World to hunt down and arrest Joseph Kony and bring him to answer to the crimes he is accused of committing by the International Criminal Court.
The UK Government should respond by committing funding and resources to aid in the capture, arrest and trial of Joseph Kony, and commit further funding and resources to aid the children and their families affected by a war and terrorist campaign that has been running for more than 20 years.
