We are calling for the abolition of the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check which begins in June 2012. More details can be found on our facebook page, search for National Campign for Abolition of Phonics Screeing Check or by e-mailing us on antiphonicscreening@yahoo.com. We are concerned that young children are being tested to a inappropriate level and that these tests will not increase standards but will increase stress on parents, children and teachers.
