Rejected petition Hold Government accountable for their consistent failings in handling COVID-19

Parliament must hold the Government fully accountable for their consistent failings throughout the Covid-19 crisis.
We are led to believe that there is a transparent, democratic system in the United Kingdom in which Parliament has a duty of care to the people of the electorate at all times.

More details

The people of the United Kingdom expect more Government transparency and accountability through democracy especially when faced with a crisis like Covid-19.
Why was the Government allowed to call an early break for Easter as Covid-19 escalated? Has this undermined democracy in the United Kingdom? How can the people trust the Government?
Further questions need to be raised reference: the publication of the Sunday Times article, "Coronavirus: 38 days when Britain sleepwalked into disaster."
