Important:

This petition was submitted during the 2019-2024 parliament

Rejected petition I want you to open garden centres as as soon as possible.

We want the government to open garden centres as soon as possible. With proper social distancing measures the risks would be lower than going to a supermarket. The benefits to the economy would be significant and the social benefits to the large number of gardeners would be huge. What's to lose?

More details

I want the government to do it because the benefits to our economy and society would be very large and the risks to spreading the virus no more or probably less than going to the supermarket or other shops. Cafes in garden centres should remain closed and the usual arrangements should be made for inside shops/areas in garden centres.
