The COVID-19 global pandemic has seen many examples of UK businesses hugely increasing prices unjustifiably on essential and vital goods in order to make exorbitant profits because of the fear and panic caused by the COVID-19 emergency. Many NHS trusts and other essential industries have been held to ransom when trying to secure vital supplies and goods by the greed and profiteering of businesses who hold the supplies and vital goods.
