Petition Prisoners Wages

Prisoners should be paid at least the minimum wage for work they do whilst in prison - the work should be for outside companies thus making money for the Prison Service as they did in the 70's under the Prindus (Prison Industries) tag - The money earnt would be distributed thus - so for example if they are paid £100 a week then £20 would go to their keep - £20 for their discharge making discharge grants obsolete - £20 to their victim or victim charities - £20 for themselves to spend in prison canteen (shop) & the last £20 could go to community groups local to the prison they are at
