Rejected petition Close the boarders into the United Kingdom

The United Kingdom has been in lockdown since the 23 March, but we still have a high rate of infection and death from COVID-19. Close the U.K. borders and prevent further people infected with the virus bringing it into the U.K.

More details

Because the U.K. needs to gain control over the rate of infection of COVID-19. The rate of deaths also still needs to reduce drastically. Neither of these things can be done whilst there are people still entering the U.K. from other countries. Asking people to quarantine for 14 days at a specified address is not good enough. The rule can be easily flouted!
