Rejected petition Bring forward school summer holidays to aid the response to COVID19.
In order to prevent the continued spread of COVID19 we believe that schools should not return on the 1st of June and that we should bring forward the summer holidays to begin in mid June until the end of July. Allowing isolation without affecting the education of our students
More details
Change the summer holidays of schools in England and prevent further death of students, staff and their families. This would allow us more time to deal with the current crisis without further impact on schooling for our children

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
Decisions about school term dates are a matter for the governing bodies of individual schools, not the Government or Parliament.
