Rejected petition Extend COVID-19 Support Scheme for the Self-Employed until October

The government announced the furlough scheme will be available to all employed until October in line with new phases for getting back into normal life. Extension is needed for the support scheme for the self-employed beyond June as well, minimising the risk for those that cannot get back to work.

More details

There is many self employed whose businesses will not resume at least for another full months and maybe even until next year, and they need much more the self employment support, not only because of the risk of going back to work but also due to the lack of it altogether. This includes hospitality, events, media, travel and many other businesses.
