Rejected petition Allow consumer choice about where goods they are buying are made
Rejected on
Introduce legislation that makes it obligatory for goods sold through the Internet or catalogues to show where they are made.
Consumers need to be able to make informed choices. At present, it is not possible, when Internet or catalogue shopping, to know where goods are made. We need to be able to decide if we wish to boycott buying from certain countries and, by doing so, encourage the support of British industry.
