Rejected petition Cancel GCSEs and A Levels in 2021
Many students are suffering educationally due to COVID-19 and will not do as well as they could in their GCSE and A Level exams compared to if this crisis didn't happen. This unprecedented crisis requires unprecedented steps and solutions.

Many students are suffering educationally due to COVID-19 and will not do as well as they could in their GCSE and A Level exams compared to if this crisis didn't happen. This unprecedented crisis requires unprecedented steps and solutions.
The best thing to do in this situation is to cancel exams in 2021 and to allow teachers to predict their student's grades. This would allow teachers to take into account pupils' previous progress before they had to start working from home, and would be fairer.
