As the previous ruler of the Hong Kong people under the Commonwealth, we have a moral obligation to look after the Hong Kong people, China agreed to allow Hong Kong to keep their democratic ways until at least 2047. Signed under the Sino-British Joint Declaration. The bypass of Hong Kong's Legislature proves that they do not intend to keep to the declaration, and the United Kingdom has to do something.
