People with walking difficulties should be allowed to use Segways on public footpaths and roads in the same way as users of electrically powered mobility scooters and wheelchairs.
The law preventing their use in public places in Britain needs to be brought in line with prevailing legislation in most other Countries of the world.
A speed limit of 4 mph should be imposed on all such conveyances when used on public footpaths.
