Rejected petition A special day of remembrance, Westminster Abbey, 23rd March 2021.

To hold a service that will serve to remember the suffering so many have experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic. Recognition should be given to all front line staff, but in particular those who came out of retirement or returned to service, some of whom died.

More details

The country has gone through, or is going through, a very traumatic period in its history. It is only 'right and proper' that a service is held to provide some comfort for the suffering so many have experienced. This needs to be seen as a nationwide, national day of remembrance in order to provide closure.
