Rejected petition Stop the expansion of UK Government's Internet powers
More details
The UK Government plans to expand its Internet spying on UK citizens. Under legislation expected in the May 2012 Queen's Speech, internet companies will be instructed to install hardware enabling GCHQ - the Government's electronic “listening” agency - to examine “on demand” any phone call made, text message and email sent, and website accessed in “real time”, We condemn this expansion as an attack on our personal freedoms and ask the government to reconsider.
