Rejected petition Allow Remote Voting for MPs unable to attend Parliament

The Government's removal of remote voting during the coronavirus pandemic has left many MPs unable to vote in parliamentary debates stripping them of a core principle of our democracy.

This must be reversed immediately to restore democratic representation to the affected MPs constituents.

More details

The government must immediately introduce remote voting for MPs who are shielding or otherwise unable to attend Parliament.

This will protect UK citizens democratic right to be represented in Parliament and hold the government to account.

The current proposals effectively removes democracy from millions of citizens based on a lottery of whether their MP is able to attend Parliament or not.
