This petition was submitted during the 2019-2024 parliament
Rejected petition Bring back online voting for Members of Parliament.
Parliament to reinstate remote voting so MPs may remain in their constituencies, performing duties as representatives or caring for loved ones while they are sick or off school, rather than being made to travel to London to spend long hours in queues.
More details
650 MPs spending 90 minutes queuing to cast a single vote wastes 975 working hours and over £58,700 pounds in taxpayer money. MPs, like many workers, are able to perform their duties remotely. They should be allowed to do so to prevent as much as possible the spread of CV19.
