Rejected petition Ban the Compulsory Wearing of Face Coverings (or Masks) on Public Transport

Retract the compulsory requirement for passengers to wear face coverings on public transport from 15th June 2020, (as announced by Transport Secretary Grant Shapps on 4th June 2020).

More details

The compulsory requirement for passengers to wear face coverings or masks on public transport from 15th June 2020, is oppressive, humiliating, and a disgraceful attack on our liberties and human rights in what is supposed to be a free and democratic society.

This government continues to pass highly restrictive draconian laws as a disproportionate and hysterical overreaction to Covid-19; none of which face any proper parliamentary scrutiny, or are informed by independent scientific consensus.
