Rejected petition Allow shops to open without restrictions on Sunday but with worker protections

Allow all shops and other consumer businesses to open on Sundays without restrictions but add legislation to allow workers to opt-out of Sunday working without being disadvantaged in any way.

This would increase freedom and choice for all but should particularly help during COVID-19 economic recovery.

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Workers are already able to opt out of Sunday working and cannot be discriminated against if they do so. You can find out more here:
