From the age of 16, most people starting paying taxes. If you are old enough to pay taxes, then you should be allowed to vote.

By lowering the voting age, we will engage younger people in politics, and help the country to be democratically progressive.

As a liberal democracy, this country should do its best to empower people from a young age, and ensure that they exercise their democratic voice to a further extent.
