Petition Regulate Rent to Appear on Credit Reports

I propose that the household rental market is reformed so that rental payments appear on credit reports.

I find it amazing that a credit check is done before someone can rent a property, yet no record is kept to show good and late payments.

I believe this should be one of the most important factors mortgage lenders look at when making a decision, after all, it is often our greatest expense and has much more relation to our ability to manage mortgage payments.

I would like the government to create a mechanism, which records with credit reference agencies, the rental payments made by tenants to landlords.
