Rejected petition Girls should be allowed to wear leggings in P.E at school
Many girls feel uncomfortable wearing tracksuit bottoms or short shorts as it makes us feel sexualised or covered up too much. We would like to be able to wear leggings in P.E so we feel comfortable doing exercise at school.
More details
We need someone of a higher authority than the school to allow us to feel comfortable in our own bodies whilst doing physical activity at school.
This petition was rejected
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
It is up to individual schools to set their uniform policy, not the UK Government or Parliament.
You or your parents could talk to your head teacher, school governors or the parent-teacher association (PTA) if you’d like your school uniform changed to allow leggings to be worn in school.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
