This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

The Government's current guidance on weddings and receptions states that face coverings should form part of the mitigations in a wedding's risk assessment but does not require that these be worn:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-guidance-for-small-marriages-and-civil-partnerships/covid-19-guidance-for-small-marriages-and-civil-partnerships

Deciding whether to require face coverings as part of any booking is therefore a matter for individual venues.
