The sliproads on a number junctions along the A34 trunk road are too short to allow vehicles to accelerate to a safe speed to join traffic flow. They should be extended.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

The Highways Agency is responsible for that part of the A34 that runs from Winchester to the junction with the M40 (just north of Oxford). The remainder of the route is the responsibility of the relevant local authorities. If your petition relates to the southern end of the road, please resubmit it making this clear. If it relates to the remainder of the route, you would need to approach the relevant local authorities.
