Closed Increase the maximum speed limit for HGV's on single carriageway A roads

I propose that the current maximum speed limit of 40MPH for HGV's to be changed to the national speed limit. At 40 MPH the hgv is causing queues of traffic behind them, the traffic behind them is allowed to travel at the national speed limit and overtaking will take place causing a high accident risk. by increasing the hgv speed limit this will reduce the overtaking and reduce the accident risk.
