In order to protect the interests of the patient at any medical assessment called for by The Department of Works and Pensions for what ever the reason, that the contemporaneous interview taken by the health care professional carrying out the assessment be recorded on audio equipment. This should happen whether the assessment is carried out at the health care company centre or at the patients home. That a copy of the interview be given to the patient on it's conclusion for their retention. This practise to be carried out when ever such examinations or assessments are conducted by a private or profit making company. This will not only serve the interest of the patient but will also serve the interest of the department where an Appeal is called.
