We call upon the Government to overrule Defence Secretary, Philip Hammond, and his plans to permit further denigration to Scotland's Historic Army Regiments buy allow further amalgamation and disbandment and the subsequent loss of Regimental names and cap badges.

Conservatives were very vocal in 2005 in opposing Labour who carried out similar cuts. This proposed continuation of that destructive process must be halted.
