* Reduce VAT on installing a new boiler and/or energy efficient controls to 5% VAT.

* Boost sales of new high efficiency condensing boilers in a currently stagnating market

* Achieve government targets to reduce CO2

If the VAT on replacement boilers was reduced to 5% this would undoubtedly bring in 3 times the volume of installation and making this a neutral cost to the exchequer. If the installation were more than 3 times normal sales – so much the better.
