Closed Make the Telephone Preference Service Effective

The existing Telephone Preference Service is ineffective because it is increasingly ignored by callers who withhold the information required for the receiver to report an illegal call. Many people now suffer several such calls a week, sometimes several in a day causing stress and frustration to the public.

The government should require telephone service companies to provide an effective Telephone Preference Service, if necessary by new legislation.
