Those Olympic Torch carriers advertising their torches for sale for personal profit on ebay should be stripped of their right to partake in the event.

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

Torchbearers have the option to buy their torches - what they do with a torch they have bought is up to them. We hope they go to good homes, but this is not something in which the Government can intervene.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
