Closed petition Compulsory section in the driving test/theory on how to pass animals on the road

Closed on

Many new and old drivers are not aware of how to act around animals on rural roads, be it cattle, sheep and especially horses.

Many drivers are not aware of the hand signals used by horse riders and are not aware they have to pass wide and slow.

We believe there is not enough on this issue in the driving practical test and the theory test and we want to petition for a compulsory section of its own in both these tests.

This means that everyone who learns to drive, attends a speed awareness class or any other class involving driving MUST have to pass at least several questions relating to what to do when you see a horse, cow or sheep on the road.
