Petition Allow private hire in bus lanes

 We feel there is currently a 2 Tier transport system that treats private hire customers as second class, our customer’s pay more with the meter clocking up stuck in the traffic whilst the Black Cabs doing the same job drive freely along empty Bus Lanes.
 Stuck in traffic these public service vehicles add to the pollution in the city - allowing PH in bus lanes cuts down on pollution.
 64 councils nationally allow Private Hire in Bus Lanes closest big city being Liverpool where Black Cabs and Private Hire share Bus Lanes with no problems.
 Our customers may have interviews, school drops, doctors, optician and hospital appointments and if missed whilst stuck in traffic will not only have an effect on their life it also puts an extra strain on the already burdened NHS missed appointment system.
 Doing the same job we want to be able to work on a level playing field as Black Cabs that are licensed by the same department as p/h.
