The first lady of Syria, Asma Al Assad is a UK citizen. She has never distanced herself from the atrocities committed by the Syrian regime and continues to reside in the presidential palace in Damascus.

Given the gravity of the Syrian government's actions, it is inappropriate that she retains British citizenship and The UK government should cancel her British citizenship without delay.
