Closed petition Bullying by Adults in Schools is unacceptable and needs urgent government attention

Closed on

We the undersigned find bullying by school officials unacceptable and urge the government to take action to protect people

Adults should have the right to feel safe. Bullying is an abuse of power by weak individuals and is not reasonable or rational behaviour.

• Teachers and support staff should be able to enjoy their work
• Parents should not be bullied because they have had legitimate cause to make a complaint about a school
• Governors should not be bullied when they present legitimate challenge
• Internal complaint and grievance procedures are inadequate as a means of raising concerns about bullying behaviour
• All allegations/counter allegations of Bullying should be independently investigated
• Adults (teachers/governors/parents) should have access to independent advice and support
• People should not fear repercussions

The problem that exists needs to be addressed.
